What is Emotion Release Technique?

Emotion Release Technique (ERT)is a holistic method of psycho-emotional therapy inspired by Neuro Emotional Technique. Neuropeptides are released during times of stress, and can attach to receptors on the neurons and cells of tissues throughout the body, supporting the theory that stored emotions can contribute to pain, illness and disease. Based on this principle, ERT combines touch, muscle response and memory recall to help process and release emotional blocks. ERT is also beneficial when working with sabotage patterns and can help you achieve your goals.

ERT is a technique to help identify and process underlying emotions and stress patterns. Underlying emotions can contribute to disharmony in the body leading to physical symptoms or undesirable behaviours or thought patterns. ERT can assess the subconcious and nervous system through muscle testing and integrate the emotion and stress patterns through acupuncture points and Emotional Freedom Technique points.

Who can benefit from ERT?

Any type of stress, symptom or sabotage pattern can be assessed to see if there is an underlying emotional driver that is contributing to the presentation.

Emotions and stress can impact the functioning of organs and systems in the body and contribute to stress and mental health concerns. It can also be the core driver of our thought patterns, belief systems and the root cause of self sabotaging behaviours.

ERT is suitable for individuals seeking a holistic approach to emotional healing and personal growth. It can benefit people of all ages, backgrounds, and experiences. Whether you are struggling with past traumas, self sabotaging behaviours or health conditions that you think may have an underlying emotional element ERT can be a valuable tool on your journey towards emotional well-being.

I have personally found ERT valuable in helping overcome limiting beliefs and self sabotaging behaviours (I am a work in progress too!) Some of those self sabotaging behaviours can even present as difficulty sticking to healthy habits and challenges showing up in my business - can you relate?

How does ERT work?

ERT gently guides individuals through the process of emotional release by accessing the subconscious and nervous systems through muscle testing and integrates the emotion and stress patterns through acupuncture points and Emotional Freedom Technique points.

What Issues Can ERT help with?

ERT can address a wide range of emotional issues, including:

1. Trauma and PTSD: ERT provides a safe space for individuals to process and release trauma, helping them find healing and relief from the lingering effects of traumatic experiences.

2. Anxiety and Depression: By assessing and integrating underlying emotions, ERT may reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression, providing individuals with a greater sense of peace and emotional stability.

3. Relationship Challenges: ERT may help individuals understand and release emotional patterns that may be causing difficulties in their relationships.

4. Stress and Burnout: ERT may help integrate emotions associated with stress helping prevent burnout.

5. Self-Exploration and Personal Growth: ERT offers a powerful tool for self-reflection and self-discovery, providing individuals with an opportunity to explore their emotions, beliefs, and values, leading to personal growth and transformation.

6. Other conditions and blockages such as; eating disorders, weight-loss, food aversions, phobias, sleep issues, PMS, headaches, night terrors etc.

7. Any physical condition where stored emotions may be a cause or a contributor to the condition including muscle and joint pain or other body systems that are not functioning optimally.

What ERT isn’t

ERT is not diagnosing or treating a mental illness. ERT is not talk therapy - in fact one of the great things about it is that no talking is required at all for ERT to be effective although many clients do find talking or sharing at times throughout a consultation to be beneficial to their own personal insight about what is going on.

ERT is not replacing any other therapies you may be undergoing including psychiatry, psychology, counselling etc.
