Why does Metabolic Balance work?

Your Metabolic Balance nutrition plan balances your body chemistry with the right food chemistry for you. Absolutely no guess work here. Your plan will teach you over the course of 12 weeks what foods work best for you to nourish yourself to wellness and your optimal weight. You eat all the essential and vital nutrients found in fresh wholesome foods with your plan concentrating particularly on the nutrients, vitamins and minerals your body needs to reset your metabolism.

What else do you need to know?

You already know that health, wellbeing and weight loss is not a one size fits all approach – otherwise the diet and exercise regime that worked for your friend/family member would have worked for you – and it didn’t. I hear that story every day. MB is the perfect combination of the MB personalised plan married together with your coach – me! All MB coaches must be qualified allied health professionals and have gone through the Metabolic Balance training program in order to be a licensed MB practitioner. The reason for this is we are trained to understand all the nuances of the program so that it is 100% personalised to you – meaning if any adjustments are required throughout the process to optimise results – we know how to do that.

Why do I LOVE MB?

I confess – many of my practitioner friends had been using MB for years and raving about how great it was. I rolled my eyes and responded, “isn’t that what we trained for years to do ourselves”. I thought I should be able to do everything that MB is doing. Then I had many clients that I simply could not get an effective weight loss result and I did some further investigations. Once I researched MB, I understood what I was missing and I did the training. I was blown away.

MB is not like any other program AND even with a pile of expensive tests and various nutrition apps, I can not pull together a program that will achieve what MB can achieve in 12 short weeks plus a lifetime of benefits.

It now replaces putting clients through arduous elimination diets that are still not precise. I rarely do any testing (other than the MB blood test) prior to recommending MB because the program itself clears the haze of what is going on with my patients health. So much healing happens when people are directed to eat real food and eliminate foods that don’t work for them that many of the tests I would previously have done become unnecessary-because the symptoms that I would have been requesting the tests for resolve while the person is doing Metabolic Balance.

Do I still do testing?

Yes, if necessary. I like to use the MB pathology panel as a guide for what is going on with my patients. Almost everyone has elements of their MB pathology panel that are not optimal. I explain exactly what that is and recommend they see their GP at the end of the 12 weeks to retest areas of concern like

  • cholesterol

  • thyroid

  • iron

  • vitamin D

  • inflammatory markers like CRP

  • fasting glucose

  • liver markers

We also have conversations about a range of other health concerns as well including female sex hormones and can discuss any lingering symptoms at the end of the 12 weeks and how we might want to move forward in resolving that.

Is MB Still suitable if you don’t want to focus on weight loss?

Absolutely. MB is a personalised Nutrition program and your plan is comprised of the ideal foods for your body to optimise overall wellbeing and function. Weight loss tends to be a by product of resetting hormones and metabolism and bringing optimal Nutrition to your body. Most of my patients (especially those in perimenopause and menopause) do have unwanted weight that they want to shift but hormones and metabolism are the centrepoint of that weight loss. So if you are wanting to optimise your health, Metabolic Balance may be a great starting point for you.
