About Your Appointment
Seeing a new practitioner can feel intimidating if you don’t know what to expect. Here, you’ll find everything you need to know before your first appointment.
Every session is a safe, judgement-free space. You can talk through your health concerns, ask any questions you may have and take part in deciding the best course of action to support you.
I understand that a one-size-fits-all approach does not actually fit all. That’s why we’ll focus on practical solutions tailored to your lifestyle and goals.
Your first visit
Our first session together is a fact-finding mission. Treating the symptoms you’re experiencing is only one piece of the puzzle. To help you achieve your best health and lasting results, we need to identify where it started and treat the root cause.
Prior to your session, you will have completed a seven day food, stool, symptom and activity diary that will be sent to you after you book in. The more information you provide in the diary, the more we have to work with during the first visit.
If you have any relevant test results, please bring those along with you or send a copy in advance. It’s also helpful for you to have a list of any medication and supplements you are currently taking.
If you have booked in for a nutrition consult, it will involve:
Going through your health history.
Reviewing your food, symptom, stool and activity diary. There may be many clues here.
Reviewing any relevant testing and results you already have - I spend time outside of our consult time going through these in more detail when I am preparing your initial treatment plan.
Discussing further testing if it may provide more information that is relevant to your health concerns
If you have booked for a Movement session or Gym based Personal Training, we will complete a postural analysis, flexibility assessment and movement analysis. Combined with your health and injury history and current symptoms, we’ll formulate a plan for you to move forward.

Follow-up visits
The first follow-up nutrition consult will take you through the plan that has been tailored to your needs. Every program is different because everyone has different needs, preferences and goals. But your plan may include:
Dietary protocols or changes to your diet – we will agree on this together.
Inclusion/exclusions of specific foods within the diet
Supplement recommendations
Recommendations for further testing where required
Advice on your lifestyle, around topics such as stress management, sleep, movement and environmental/toxicity exposures.
Additional follow up consultations are designed to continue support and care throughout your health journey. Every treatment plan gives us information about what is contributing to improved health and what is not. Adjustments to your treatment plan are made on this basis.
Follow-up movement consults are a little different. If you are doing a home-based program, you will be taken through the exercise program. You will be taught how to do each exercise that has been prescribed based on your movement goals.
If you have signed up for weekly Personal Training, each session is designed with your goals and preferences in mind. Personal Training sessions are conducted at The Good Fit gym in Dulwich.
